Atherstone is set to welcome its first ever floating market. The Roving Canal Traders Association (RCTA) is to host its debut event in the town as result of public demand in the area.
It will see eight boats moor-up on the Coventry Canal above Atherstone Locks, opposite the old Hat factory for the two day event. It will take place on July 16 and July 17.
Market-goers will be able to find a wealth of different items according to Sue Meades, market co-ordinator for RCTA. She said: "This is RCTAs first official floating market at Atherstone organised by request from locals."
